This electro-acoustic composition is based on the official Austrian text about Austrian minorities and minority rights called ‚Minderheitenartikel des österreichischen Staatsvertrages". The piece consists of translations of this text into Croatian, German and Slowenian, sound recordings from demonstrations against the Austrian government (made in February 2000), and statements of 26 persons, who are living in Vienna, speaking in their respective mother tongues (Arabic, Armenian, Bulgarian, Burgenländisch-Croatian, Mandarin, German, Finnish, French, Hebrew, Islandic, Italian, Japanese, Cantonese, Korean, Croatian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slowacian, Slowenian, Spanish, Czech, Turkish, Hungarian and Vietnamese).

sprachklanggesetzt was awarded the third price at the composition contest "klanggesetz" of Initiative Minderheiten, an Austrian platform for minorities.

A CD with several contributions to the composition contest, including sprachklanggesetzt, was published on Extraplatte in November 2000.
