| Aside
from his activities as a composer
and installation artist,
Bernhard Gal also performs live
in concert, mainly using a
laptop computer and other electronic devices.
He has performed in more than 100 concerts worldwide. His
solo concerts are mainly based on works from recent CD publications, e.g.
'Installations'
(2005), 'Hinaus::
In den, Wald.' (2004), and 'relisten'
(2001), which he takes apart and reassembles in a quasi-improvised, live
context. Additional sound materials such as new field recordings or fragments
from recent music and art projects are constantly being added to Gal's
sound library, hence his 'repertoire' keeps expanding and changing continuously.
Gal
also works on textur,
an ongoing series of audio-visual perfomances combining phonography and
photography. |
